Google ends attack on URL bar, resumes displaying full address in Chrome – OSnews

As Android police report:

Google has repeatedly tried for years to denigrate the Internet by simplifying Chrome’s “spooky” address bar. He first tried to erode the url entirely by displaying only the search terms in the omnibox, but its impractical design forced google to remove it. The developers recently tried to simplify the omibox again – this time hide all parts of the web address except the domain name. Although it has received quite a bit of criticism from users, Google defended its decision moving forward, citing its intention to help people better identify malicious sites. But now it looks like Google has reconsidered things, as it recently decided to close the curtains on his experience.

Good. URLs present important information, and preventing or limiting access to it is just plain stupid and hassle.
