AUSTIN, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – Officials from the office of Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced on Friday that the OneStar Foundation has created a webpage so people can send in donations to support those affected by the Uvalde shooting earlier this week.

According to a press release from Abbott’s office, the webpage will give people the opportunity to donate money to support families, teachers as well as the entire Uvalde community. The OneStar Foundation will direct all donations to the Robb School Memorial Fund, established by First State Bank of Uvalde, to “secure immediate financial support” to those affected by the shooting at Robb Elementary School.

Officials said the funds will cover immediate needs, including health expenses, flights and travel for families and loved ones, funeral costs and long-term needs for community recovery, according to the press release. .
