Remy Ma and Papoose deliver new freestyle for Smack/URL

Recently, the Ultimate Rap League (URL) unveiled their second “Kings Vs. Queens”, a battle of the sexes which saw JC, First Lady Flamez, Loso, Vixen The Assassin, Aye Verb, Ms. Hustle, T-Top , Coffee, Tay Roc and O’fficial take the stage for some of the hardest lyrical punches to date.In addition to the main event, hip-hop royalty Papoose and Remy Ma appeared in the show as guests – and they couldn’t help but come up with some hard-hitting bars as well:

“I grew up with the killers, the hundred dollar billers, my crowd roll deep, we got no feelings, chip your shoulder, guess you got a point to prove, I’ll put you little female dogs on the ten o’ clock news/

Wait, look, I’m still on my shit, your fat homie on my dick, you a clown and him a thing/”

Recently, Papoose released their latest project Februaryan alleged sequel to January which sees nine drug cuts and additional appearances from Kent Jones, E-40, Mysonne and the late Fred The Godson. He also released his fourth official album, The threatened speciesback in October.

Meanwhile, Remy Ma is somewhat dormant on the music front — she’s become a REVOLT staple as one of the hosts on Joe Budden’s “State of the Culture” series. Outside of well-received mixtapes over the past two decades, she has only released the two albums. There’s Something About Remy: Based on a True Story and Plata O Plomo in 2006 and 2017, respectively – the latter being a joint album with Terror Squad pal Fat Joe. Last heard from, she was working on a new body of work titled To remember (Previously 7 winters, 6 summers) – I hope it’s still going.
